Pi Day

Wednesday monring in 49675 and life is good. I got to talk to my brother last night which is always a huge blessing upon me... a smile from God.
We are expecting record high temps to-day and baseball practice will be on our beautiful field for the second day straignt (in mid-March?!?!).
To-day is internationally recognised as Pi Day by the math's community. You see, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diamter is always the same, no matter how big your circle is. Try it: with a soft ruler, measure around your favourite beverage container (the circumference) and then measure across at its widest spot (diameter). Divide the two and you will always get a little over 3. Or about 3.14. Or about 22/7. Or about 3.141592653589793238..., which is such a special number, we have given it a name (actually, we've given it a letter, and call it the letter's name).
We call this number Pi (pronounced "pie"), after the Greek lower case letter pi.
