Eucharist ≈ Thanksgiving

I'm thankful for my wife. She is very giving and unselfish. Last night, from a family members 40th birthday party, she drove a van-full of people to the other side of the county as the designated driver, and then drove back home.

I'm thankful for our little black and white cat. He finds amusement and amazement in the tiniest little pieces of onion skin or blowing leaf outside and is constantly occupied and on display - for our amusement!

I'm thankful for kitchen appliances that do exactly what they are supposed to do: a fridge that fridges (and freezes), a stove that stoves, a sink that sinks ( ).

I'm thankful for our tv which let me watch Shawshank Redemption last night for the first time. (I missed the first 45 minutes, up to where they're watching Gilda - a pretty good picture itself!)

I'm thankful for Bruce Peabody and his benevolence towards me during my five years with the Onekama Consolidated School District. I'm typing on my teachers' EliteBook 8540p that he sold me for a reasonable rate after I left.

I'm thankful for the gift from my parents -  the Mystery Meat, which I thawed and marinated as pork chops but, when seared, did look so much like beef. I completed the Pork Chop Baked Casserole recipe though and in 23 minutes (plus resting time - usually not long around here), we will know drool, drool).

I chose Strutter as my team name only because Detroit Rock City had already been taken. I researched and participated in mock drafts to prepare myself for my first fantasy baseball season. I rejected trade offers for my stud outfielder McCutchen. In fact, my trio of Carlos Gomez, Cutch, and Ryan Braun are all in the top 14 in points for outfielders so far this young year.
The position players and starting pitchers (SP) and relief pitchers (RP) all can earn points whenever they're in a game. The weekly score is 270 - 168.5, with three days left in the week. That guy's 270 is the most I've seen this early in the week - I'm getting slaughtered, to coin the vernacular from my little league days.
Semien has been a bright spot since I picked him up at the beginning of the week. (That may be, in part, because the Sox just played four agains the Tigers...)
Obviously I should have had Martin Perez earning points for me and not on the bench but live and learn, as my gaffer used to say.

It's been a fun four plus weeks and look forward to 'owning' in the future.

Fantasy Team Strutter not faring too well in Week 4
