Old Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow; Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow.

Ding a dong, merry throng, ring a ding my hearties
Like to eat, like to drink, I'm mighty fond of parties!
Hey there now, merry doll, derry dol my darling
Feed me now, any how, and I'll not be snarling!

Old Tom was not quite the rhymster I am, I can tell you. Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you.

Thank you lord for a warm bed to sleep on, thank you for the food we are about to eat, thank you for a roof over our heads on cold nights such as this, thank you for companionship in hard times like these, Amen.
