This guy did the first full-length Lord of the Rings feature film. It was animated and done fairly well, or so I remember from way back in 1978. I bought the soundtrack and loved the music. Was able to begin watching it again thanks to Youtube and still liked it. Being a purist, I found lots that Peter Jackson's LotR was lacking, but Bakshi avoided the cute one-liners and, being a cartoon, I didn't mind so much of the book missing from this film. Compare the Elves' grieving Mithrandir's fall in song in the two and Bakshi rules.
Not as much snow as last year; seems i'm doing more grading papers than ever though. We have supped and life is good...
