To-day's Questions

What in God's creation feeds my spiritual life the most?

Am I growing in relationship with the Lord by becoming more aware of God's everlasting love?

Happy Easter Once Again: Divine Mercy Sunday

Live stream mass on facebook from Old St Patrick, with Father Tom, Deacon Gary, and the fabulous choir. Praise God the technology is performing so well!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad!
Give thanks to the LORD for He is good, His love is everlasting.

Alleluia!

From the Gospel according to John:

On the evening of that first day of the week,
when the doors were locked, where the disciples were,
for fear of the Jews,
Jesus came and stood in their midst
and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side.
The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you.
As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,
“Receive the Holy Spirit.
Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,
and whose sins you retain are retained.”

Thomas, called Didymus, one of the Twelve,
was not with them when Jesus came.
So the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”
But he said to them,
“Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands
and put my finger into the nailmarks
and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

Now a week later his disciples were again inside
and Thomas was with them.
Jesus came, although the doors were locked,
and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”
Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands,
and bring your hand and put it into my side,
and do not be unbelieving, but believe.”
Thomas answered and said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me?
Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”

Now, Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples
that are not written in this book.
But these are written that you may come to believe
that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God,
and that through this belief you may have life in his name.

The Gospel of the Lord
Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ!

We fear loss of health, loss of life, loss of a job
'The greater the misery of a soul, the greater the right to My mercy.'

I believe in one God, the Father almighty

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ...consubstantial with the Father

I believe in the Holy Spirit

That the Holy Spirit will guide all people struggling with doubt; Lord hear our prayer.

The Lord be with you

And with your spirit

Lift up your hearts

We lift them up to the Lord

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God

It is right and just

Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus,
Dóminus Deus Sábaoth.
Pleni sunt caeli et terra glória tua.
Hosánna in excélsis.
Benedíctus qui venit in nómine Domini.
Hosánna in excélsis.

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name.

Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis.
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.

Behold the Lamb of God!

Lord I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, but only say the word, and my soul shall be healed.

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ
In atonement for our sins, and those of the whole world
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion
Have mercy on us, and on the whole world.

From Pastor Thelen, Brighton St Patrick

No matter how much you’re suffering right now, I want to invite you to take your eyes off of yourself and your situation. Focus your heart on Jesus who lovingly took our sin, shame, sicknesses, sufferings and death all upon himself so that we might live. Focus your attention on our Lord who suffered with us and for us. He still chooses to love us and wants to live with us forever, promising to make all things new. This week ask Jesus for the grace to fall more in love with him and for the grace of never putting anything above him, so that believing and loving him in this life, we might all enjoy the wonder of the Resurrection together for eternity.

I miss the Sacraments

We may look back on this time as the best Lent ever, for many and divers reasons.

When I think how hard this has been, sometimes I just want to smack myself. For it could be (and is for many, many souls) so much worse.

Fr John Ricardo is elocuting on Ave Maria Radio right now on the Passion of our LORD. Wonderful discourse!

'How is it you can lose your voice at a football game, and you can't even open your mouth at church??!?'
